with Dr. Yanira Hernandez, EdD, LCSW, PPSC

Dr. Yanira Hernandez, EdD, LCSW, PPSC has been a mental health practitioner for over 10 years and has provided mental health services to BIPOC communities in diverse settings including hospital, community mental health, and school-based. Dr. Hernandez has experience with providing therapy to children birth to five, school-aged children, adolescents, transitional-aged youth, and adults, as well as providing clinical supervision (individual and group) to MSW graduate students. Currently, as a licensed mental health professional in a school district, she provides workshops to students and families and professional development and training to educators including teachers, counselors, administrators, and community partners. 

Dr. Hernandez is also the Founder of Pa'lante Therapy, Inc, a virtual private practice centering on BIPOC individuals with an emphasis on Latinx communities. She specializes in working with First-Generation Women of Color professionals, college/graduate students, undocumented/immigrant individuals, and Latinx families. Areas of expertise include trauma (e.g. racial/ intergenerational trauma, early childhood trauma, complex trauma in immigrant populations), inner child work, anxiety, depression, stress, professional identity related issues, and imposter syndrome (imposter phenomenon/perf
ectionism).

1 hour – 1:1 Peer Clinical Consultation 

Investment:

Peer Clinical Consultation: $150/hr.

 

One-hour consultation is available for Licensed and Associate clinicians who are seeking guidance and feedback on specific cases, diagnoses, and interventions. I practice through cultural responsive, anti-racist, and trauma-informed lenses.
